When it rains it pours.......

It's getting even harder to sum up any Christmas cheer at the moment.

My partner didn't get the job he interviewed for.  They said he was too qualified for the post.  They had grilled him about this at his interview, but he had said that he wanted a more 'hands-on' job and explained why (his previous job was in development management and he hated it, as he prefers doing the work to telling others how they should do it) and he thought he had convinced them. But obviously not.  I suppose they thought that he may up and leave when a better job comes along.  Well he might, but so might any other rmember of their staff, and my partner is not one to leap from job to job as he is not great on change.  Oh well, let's hope something else comes along soon...

Then my sister rang to tell me that my mum is not well, but "not to worry" as she would probably be okay again soon.  Of course I'm worried!  I'm off to see her tomorrow, rather than waiting until Christmas.
But I have to go to the dentist first.  The tooth the dentist couldn't fix has broken! So now he will have to cap it anyway.  I just hope he can fix it!

But apart from all that we hope things are fine ............. fingers crossed (again!)
